This year is making
headlines with bold lips,
smokey eyes over pale
matte skin. I love bold
lipstick with a beautiful
updo... clean classy and
somewhat retro. Whatever
your favorite look may be
there's plenty of lipstick
choices to go around this
season. Here are my picks
worth checking out. Red
Wine is making a bold return
to the fall lipstick lineup.
Wine-stained lips were on
the fall runways of Yves
Saint Laurent, Louis Vutton
and Custo Barcelona, to
name a few. A beautiful
array of hues from deep
Bordeaux to barely there
pinot nior were paired with
dewy and matte skin giving
a pop of lip color which is
super hot right now.
Mac Media lipstick is a great
choice for a burgundy lip.
You can spice it up a bit
using the burgundy or
currant lip pencil. True Red
is one of my all time
favorites for a classic look
and pairs perfectly with the
season's retro styles popular
with designer Milly.
Try Le Rouge by the iconic
Yves Saint Laurent collection
Rouge Pur Couture. The
collection evokes elegance
and the stay-true color
provides medium to full
coverage with a satin finish.
Berry Punch is a long time
quintessential fall shade and
it's staying true this season.
Try Laura Mercier Lip Stain in
Mulberry or Stila
Pomegranate Crush Lip &
Cheek Stain. Laura Mercier
Lip Stain provides the visual
effect of a stain with the
comfort and sheen of a lip
gloss. With long-term color
and balmy finish it offers
effortless polish and
understated sophistication.
Berry shades are most
flattering on fairer skin
tones. Nude is subtle and
works great with bold eyes
and brows. Nude defined is
actually your own lip color
enhanced. Hot nudes to try
are Bobbi Brown Pale Plum,
Korress Mango Butter 33
Nude and Sephora's Attitude
Glamour in Innocent Beige.
Bobbi Brown Pale Plum is a
creamy Lip Color combines
rich color with comfortable,
long-lasting wear and a soft,
creamy shine. With emollient
Shea butter and plant-
derived skin conditioners,
this amazing formula is
smooth, wears all day, and
leaves lips soft. Looking for
dramatic? Black Cherry
shades ranging from mauve
to plum tones are sure to
give you the perfect punch
to go with a clean palette of
subtle eye makeup and bold
beautiful brows. Christian
Dior has a beautiful new line
"Dior Addict Lipstick" with
several great choices in
plum. I like #881 Fashion
Week. Of course, I like
everything about Christian
Dior.

5 5 Unisex Unisex Skin Skin Care Care Tips Tips

1. Analyze your skin
When the season gets
colder, you will notice
changes in your skin as
well. Oily skin may become
more normal, or those
normal skin types might feel
their skin is suddenly drying
out. If you aren't sure
whether your skin needs a
new regime, consult a skin
care specialist at a local day
spa who can analyze your
skin on the spot or talk to a
consultant at a cosmetics
counter.
Reassess your body
cleanser. If you notice your
skin is dry and flaky, try a
creamy body wash or
gentle, soap-free product
that is hydrating as well.
2. Exfoliate
Exfoliation is key in the
dryer months and has so
many benefits! Exfoliating
once or twice a week
effectively sloughs off dead
skin cells to reveal the
newer, smoother skin,
lightens dark spots, allows
your other beauty products
penetrate more effectively,
and helps retain moisture.
For your face, use
exfoliating product that
combines physical beads (to
manually remove dead skin
cells) and digestive enzymes
like papain, derived from
papaya, that digest and
breakdown dead skin cells.
This allows for less friction,
thus a gentler exfoliation.
You may also look for
products that contain
solutions such as AHA
(alpha hydroxy acid such as
glycolic and lactic acids) or
BHA (beta hydroxy acid,
also known as salicylic acid)
products: AHAs are
preferred for sun-damaged
and dry skin because they
have the added benefit of
improving moisture content.
BHA is preferred for oily,
acne-prone skin and for
treating blackheads and
white bumps. Its oil-soluble
qualities allow it to deeply
penetrate the oil in the
pores and exfoliate
accumulated skin cells
inside the oil glands that can
clog pores.
For your hands, I find oily
based scrubs are perfect for
fall and winter because you
are getting the exfoliating
benefits with the extra
bonus of hydrating oils. For
your body, look for scrubs
that contain "polishing"
ingredients, such as
oatmeal, ground almonds,
sugar and sea salt Another
tip to remove dry skin this
fall is to use an exfoliating
loofah or glove while
bathing.
3. Moisturize and hydrate
I can't stress this enough; if
you want to keep dry skin at
bay, you must hydrate your
skin on a daily basis. The
best time to apply your
lotion to your body is right
after you've dried off after
bathing. Seal in the water
that's already being
absorbed into your skin.
Look for products
containing goat milk and
naturally occurring
humectants such as
Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Don't
forget to drink plenty of
water to hydrate your skin
and offset the lack of
humidity in the air. Use
humidifiers throughout the
house or at least in the
bedroom.
Your hands are in and out
of water and exposed to
harsh weather so you need
to moisturize them
frequently. That's why it's so
important to have hand
cream with you at all times
and remember to wear
gloves outdoors in the
winter. Your face is the most
exposed part of your body
and demands extra attention
in dryer, colder months. You
many need to over-treat
your skin with thicker
creams instead of lotions to
will provide stronger barriers
against the harsh
environment and apply a
night repair cream. Consult a
skin care specialist to find
the products that will work
best for you.
4. Protect your lips
Start moisturizing your lips
early to prevent cracked &
chapped lips this winter. I
suggest using a non-
petroleum based lip balm as
it has been found that
petroleum-based products
can have a drying effect on
your lips.
5. Sunscreen
Just because you may not
be lying on the beach
doesn't mean you can
forget the sunscreen for the
next 6 months. The sun's
harmful rays continue to
penetrate all year round,
making sunscreen a daily
essential. Using a full
spectrum SPF 30 year round
is a must!
Where you go to shop for
wigs has a lot to do with
your reason for buying a
wig in the first place. If you
are just looking for a wig for
some fun, like a costume or
a funky or whimsical
change, then you can easily
pick one up at a discount
store or beauty supply that
sells the lower-end synthetic
wigs. If, on the other hand,
you were looking for a wig
that will look natural and be
worn more frequently, then
you would be best off
shopping for your wig at a
boutique that specializes in
wigs and hairpieces or even
a wig maker. Does this
mean that you will have to
spend a fortune on a wig in
order to not have to look
like you are in costume?
Not necessarily. The internet
is now home to hundreds of
great options for those
looking to purchase high
quality wigs for a fraction of
the cost of what they are in
some boutiques. This is a
perk of not having to cover
the cost of things like the
rent on the beautiful
boutiques or their posh
decor. Online retailers are
able to offer better prices
thanks to a considerably
lower overhead.
There are six basic types of
wigs. Synthetic wigs or
machine made wigs, human
hair tied, hand-tied
synthetic, human machine
made, vacuum base and
custom breathable base.
Synthetic wigs may have a
skin like material on the top,
front, and crown area to
give a more natural
appearance which should
be considered. The style is
set into the synthetic fiber
permanently and will return
after each washing. Be sure
to carefully follow the care
instructions by the
manufacturer.
Human Hair Hand Tied
Cranial Prosthesis wigs can
vary in base materials but
typically consist of one or
more of the polyester mesh,
silk, mono filament, silicone,
or thin polyurethane. A non
slip material around the ear
tabs or nape of neck can
have a non slip material
where you would use a
corresponding thin
transparent tape to adhere
to. Hair types that can be
found with this type of wig
are Asian, Indian, Remy, and
European hair. It is very
important to closely follow
the care instructions from
the manufacturer when
washing and styling the wig
to avoid tangling and
damaging of the hair.
Han-tied synthetic wigs are
created by taking synthetic
fiber tied into a base
material. The style and hair
growth pattern or curl
pattern is permanently set.
They are easy to care for
and a great choice for
women looking to change
up their look for special
occasions or just for
something different.
Human hair machine made
wigs are determined by the
type of Human Hair that is
used as well as the cap
construction. Human hair
wigs require more time for
care and styling just like
your own hair would. You
will need to plan on
restyling after each
shampooing. Be sure to use
a more quality shampoo and
comb out thoroughly after
each wash.
Vacuum base wigs are on
the higher end line and will
require some upfront
investment of money and
time. They are custom
designed to fit your own
head. Be prepared to have a
plaster mold taken of your
head to ensure proper
suction of the wig to your
head. The base material is
silicone based with
European hair injected into
the base. This is an option
for women experiencing
total hair loss. They can be
a bit warm but are well
worth the natural
appearance of natural hair.
Custom breathable base
wigs are a great choice for
women experiencing
Alopecia Totalis (total hair
loss). A high quality
prosthesis is used with tiny
ventilation holes that
provides excellent fit,
comfort and natural hairline.
You will want to style and
care for this product in the
same manner as naturally
growing hair. It does
however require to be
replaced every three to four
months.

Different Types Types of of Lipstick Lipstick

When choosing a lipstick,
it's not only the color that
you choose that matters. Do
you want your lips to be
glossy, sheer, dramatic,
long-lasting, lustre? It's
important to know what
these words mean before
going to make your
purchase, or you will be
very confused once you get
there. The type of lipstick
will also have an impact on
the way the color looks on
you, so it's worthwhile to
know what the different
types of lipsticks are. Below
are the different categories
of lipstick and the
advantages.
Matte: No, this isn't a man's
name. Lipstick that is matte
means that the color is flat
and not shiny. This usually
includes the strongest and
darkest colors of lipstick.
Matte lipstick usually lasts
longer than shiny and other
types of lipstick. There is no
moisture added to matte
lipstick, so if your lips are
dry, flaky or too thin, then
matte lipstick may not be
flattering on you. Put on a
little chapstick before, and
some gloss after.
Gloss: This can be worn
with or without lipstick.
Gloss is great by itself on
darker skin tones, but tends
to make light skin tones
look washed out. Gloss
adds a lot of plumpness and
shine to lips, so it's great for
women with thin lips. For
more plump effect, first put
on lip liner, then add the lip
gloss and smudge your lips
until you get desired
plumpness.
Long Lasting: Long lasting
lipstick can be great when
used correctly, otherwise it
could be a little messy
especially if it's a dark color.
Long lasting lipsticks tend to
make the lips a little dry, so
I find that the best kind of
long lasting lipsticks are the
two part lipsticks which
contain the lipstick on one
end and a gloss on the
other. First put on the
lipstick, then the gloss. If
you really want it to last a
long time, wait for the first
coat to finish and do
another layer of color and
gloss. I know people who
do this four times! You
probably won't need to
reapply the color, but you
can reapply the gloss
throughout the day to keep
the color refreshed. The
color should stay on for as
long as you keep it there
and will need to be
removed with a good make
up remover. Make sure that
it's really off before you
wipe your face, or your
towel will be stained with
your lip color.
Lipstick is a beauty product
that you are likely to use
often, so it may be worth it
to look into getting your
favorite shades in bulk or
wholesale. This will definitely
save you money, and
lipstick is always a great gift
for the holidays.

What What Are Are The The Different Different Types Types Of Of Eye Eye Shadows Shadows ? ?

Many women are not aware
that there are different types
of eye shadows. Each type
of shadow serves a different
purpose and will look
different on your eye. When
a woman goes shopping for
an eye shadow and makes
decisions just by the color,
she may be disappointed
when she tries it on for the
first time. It would be worth
while to be knowledgeable
about the different types
before making a purchase,
especially since make up
can get pretty pricey. Below
are the four different types
of eye shadows and their
benefits.
Matte: Matte has no
shimmer or gloss in it, so if
you're getting a shadow
simply for the color, get
matte. It has a high
concentration of color in it,
so it stays on longer and
you don't need to put as
much of it on as other types
of shadow. Matte eye
shadow is great to wear if
you're going for a natural
look, and it's also good
when layering with other
colors.
Frosted: Frosted eye
shadow means that there is
going to be some shimmer
and sparkle in the color. It
is usually tinted with a white
or silver finish. Frosted
shadow looks nice when
applied on top of another
color, just to give it a little
sparkle. If you want to wear
it by itself, you should use a
primer first and then apply
the frosted shadow on top.
You can also use concealer
for the same effect. Frosted
shadow can be very light
and pale, so this will help it
stay on longer and you can
see the color better.
Satin: This is somewhere in
between Matte and Frosted.
It has a little shimmer but
not as much as frosted.
Satin blends well but is also
great just by itself with a
little bit of black eye liner.
You can also get more
benefit from Satin shadow
by first using a primer or
concealer.
Shimmer: Shimmer eye
shadow is similar to frosted
but is less opaque and has
more shimmer and shine in
it. It is great when you want
a more dressy look, but
probably better left home
on a day in the office. It's
great by itself or on top of
another shadow. If you
have deep wrinkles around
the eye area, you may want
to stay away from Shimmer
eye shadows all together, as
the sparkles tend to fall
throughout the day and
settle in those creases.
If you want to get good
quality eye shadow, it can
be expensive if you're a
make up fiend like me.
Buying wholesale cosmetics
can save you time and
money, and make up always
makes a great gift for any
woman!
Buying wholesale cosmetics
is definitely worth while if
you use make up often. You
can buy wholesale make up
from a cosmetics wholesaler
such as
wholesalefashionsquare.com.
Your wallet will thank you!
